Let’s start June out with a frosty, creamy, light and healthy drink. Sooo much better for us than bottled soda pop!
This is a Fruit Smoothie found in Amy Houts’ book, Cooking Around the Calendar with Kids – Holiday and Seasonal Food and Fun. She’s the author who has written several Dora the Explorer books, too!
Fruity Smoothie
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana, cut in chunks
2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
3 teaspoons honey
Prepare fruit and measure ingredients. Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Yield: 2 generous servings
There you have a refreshing drink to start off this beautiful month of June!
Happy days!
